The Llama

Born in New York City in 2008, The Llama Studio is a boutique, queer-led production house shaping documentaries, digital content, and commercials with heart and a strong visual voice.

Our cinematic approach has drawn partners like A&E, Condé Nast, TIME, KKR, SCRUFF, and Children’s Aid. We tell stories that move people - crafted with purpose, clarity, and creative edge.

Oriel Pe’er

FILMMAKER & FOUNDER

Oriel is an award-winning filmmaker and visual artist whose work blends documentary storytelling, performance, intimacy, and bold visual aesthetics. His work has been featured in The Hollywood Reporter, TIME, The Guardian, Pitchfork, Nowness, The Washington Post, and other leading outlets.

For over a decade he has created original documentaries, short-form pieces, and branded work for companies, cultural institutions, and community-driven organizations through The Llama Studio.

He is the director and producer of A Deeper Love: The Story of Miss Peppermint, the award-winning feature documentary following the decade-long journey of Miss Peppermint - a groundbreaking Black trans performer, activist and LGBTQ+ icon.
